Assistant IV - Financial Assistant

Position Description




The Assistant IV handles the Accounts Payable functions, processes Invoices , creates purchase orders for the Budget Management Department. Duties which includes COVID-19 & Disaster Related Purchase Orders, Research Payments for Budget Management, and helping to establish new Departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Requesting Purchase Orders for Budget Management
  • Processing Invoices for Budget Management
  • Maintain Court Approved/Non Court Approved Documents for Purchase Orders and Invoices
  • Researching Payments for Budget Management
  • Helping Various Departments when requested, with Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Researching Payments.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma.
  • Two (2) years of general business office experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the County
  • Good communication
  • Good attendance
  • Computer knowledge

General Information

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Physical Demands:
  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, filling is required.
  • This would require the ability to lift files up to 10 pounds, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Reporting Relationships:
  • Reports To Position: Director, Agenda and Administration
  • Supervises Positions: N/A

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
