Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at Villas at Katy Trail Apartments in Uptown Dallas.

This role is ideal for a strong Maintenance Technician ready to step into a leadership position while continuing to work hands-on with the team.

Compensation: $23–$28 per hour based on experience, plus monthly performance bonuses

Schedule: Monday – Friday (on-call rotation required)

What You Will Do:

Support the Lead Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing daily maintenance operations
Diagnose and complete service requests including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
Assist with apartment turns, including painting, repairs, and unit readiness
Help prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion
Maintain pool, grounds, and common areas to company standards
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
Assist with inventory and supply management
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents

What You Will Bring:

Valid driver’s license
HVAC certification required
2+ years of apartment maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
Ability to take initiative and support team leadership
Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
Ability to live within a reasonable commute to Uptown Dallas
