Assistant Manager

Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, and leading team members in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. This role is responsible for supervising shifts, maintaining operational standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring smooth coordination of the restaurant’s unique train-delivered dining service.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure timely and accurate food delivery via the train system and service team
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust staffing or service priorities as needed
Team Leadership
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching restaurant team members
- Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities
- Provide real-time feedback and performance support to staff
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality and efficiency
Financial & Administrative Support
- Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control efforts
- Assist with labor management to meet staffing and budget targets
- Help monitor daily sales, cash handling procedures, and shift reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local health regulations
Facility & Safety
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
- Support troubleshooting of operational equipment including the train delivery system
- Promote and enforce workplace safety practices
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant supervisory or assistant management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Passion for guest service and team development
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Pay: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
