Assistant Manager– Accounting & Administration
Location: Kuwait

Responsibilities
Accounting

Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including maintenance of the general ledger and bookkeeping records.

Process vouchers and payments in accordance with approved documentation and company policies.

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial closings, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and consolidated reporting packages.

Develop annual financial budgets and manage tax filings, VAT documentation, and statutory compliance requirements.

Coordinate internal reviews and external audits, including engagement with certified public accountants.

Maintain accurate financial documentation in line with corporate and regulatory standards.

Apply sound knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and applicable accounting frameworks.
HR & Administration

Oversee end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, employment contracts, transfers, and employee orientation.

Manage attendance, leave records, overtime, and ensure timely reporting to management.

Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation in compliance with local regulations.

Coordinate recruitment requirements and support workforce planning initiatives.

Monitor regulatory updates and advise management on legislative changes impacting operations.

Administer employee exit procedures and statutory formalities.

Support business continuity planning, crisis response coordination, and broader administrative requirements.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited institution recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in general accounting or a comparable financial role.

Exposure to HR and administrative functions is advantageous.

Prior experience within a multinational or regional organisation is preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.

Familiarity with ERP systems (medium to large scale platforms preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
