Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the complete Accounts Receivable (AR) cycle, ensuring timely invoicing, accurate recording of receivables, effective collections, and strict compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The role ensures optimal cash flow management, minimizes overdue accounts, maintains strong customer relationships, and supports financial reporting, audit, and statutory compliance requirements.
This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, proficiency in SAP (preferably SAP B1), analytical capability, and the ability to coordinate effectively with sales, operations, and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable & Billing Management
- Oversee the complete AR cycle including customer invoicing, posting of receipts, credit notes, debit notes, and adjustments in SAP.
- Ensure all receivable transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with IFRS, Pakistani GAAP, and internal financial policies.
- Generate and monitor aging reports to ensure timely recovery of outstanding receivables and maintain overdue balances within acceptable limits.
- Actively follow up with customers to ensure payments are received as per agreed credit terms and resolve payment disputes proactively.
- Maintain high accuracy in SAP postings with minimal error rates and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Operations teams to validate billing data, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
Customer Reconciliation & Relationship Management
- Perform regular customer statement reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Maintain updated customer ledgers and ensure balances are accurate and audit-ready.
- Proactively address disputes, short payments, and deductions through coordination with relevant internal departments.
- Support improvement initiatives to reduce reconciliation gaps and enhance collection efficiency.
Cash Flow & Collection Planning
- Support cash flow forecasting by providing accurate receivable projections and collection schedules.
- Monitor credit limits and recommend corrective actions in case of overdue or high-risk accounts.
- Provide collection performance analysis and ensure effective receivable turnover management.
Intercompany & Ledger Reconciliation
- Perform intercompany receivable reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate and aligned across entities.
- Identify and resolve mismatches through coordination with internal finance teams.
- Prepare periodic reconciliation reports to support monthly closing and management review.
Tax Compliance & Statutory Coordination
- Coordinate with the Tax Department for accurate withholding tax, GST/Sales Tax, and other statutory matters related to customer transactions.
- Ensure tax deductions and adjustments are properly recorded and documented.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings by providing complete and accurate receivable data.
- Maintain proper documentation for tax audits and regulatory reviews.
Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare periodic AR reports, aging analysis, collection summaries, and management dashboards.
- Ensure that all receivable transactions are fully documented and readily available for internal and external audits.
- Maintain strong internal controls over receivable processes and ensure strict compliance with financial policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of receivable balances.
Team Supervision & Process Improvement
- Guide and supervise AR executives in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed within defined timelines.
- Provide coaching and operational support to improve team efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance AR cycle time, reporting efficiency, and compliance.
General
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the Sr. Accounts Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- ACCA, CA Inter, ACMA, MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
- 4–6 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, and tax coordination, preferably within manufacturing industries.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP B1 and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, Pakistani GAAP, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
