Ag Farming & Storage Ops Team Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead field team and assist Regional Manager in implementing better extension model for “Farmer Connect”.
  • Realignment of territory and vendor base as per the change in model of operation.
  • ENSURING IMPLEMENTATION OF CF NORM / SEED SALE / VENDOR DATA BASE.
  • Get agreements signs off from field & Cold Store stakeholders.
  • Lead potato storage management in his territory (Direct & Supervision)
  • Lead due diligence & audit compliance of all cold stores of the territory.
  • Identification and development of third-party cold store as per PIH norms for seed / chip grade, maintenance of long-term potato stocks as per protocol.
  • Realignment of Storage base (new & existing) & improve on store S&R% assisting Regional Manager.
  • Lead “Agro Digitalization” in Central India & also remain key user in PAN India.
  • Lead/ Develop/ Sustain - capability of smart-Agro & ensure 100% compliance through end-users.
  • Ensure documentation of terrain wise entries & MIS reporting for the territory through end users’ hand-held tabs.
  • Prepare AOP for the region in collaboration with Regional Manager.
  • Ensuring uninterrupted supplies of Potato for the plant - Day/ week/ month & season wise.
  • Identify / create / develop / grow / sustain new as well early areas of agro-contacts/ farming pockets.
  • Ensure discipline amongst partners/ suppliers/ effective administration and implementation of PepsiCo policy COC.
  • Own and drive the Safety agenda - in the territory (field/ Cold Stores)
  • Lead SFP agenda to develop sustainable relationship with farmers and other stakeholders in the territory.
  • Develop capable vendors of NCF to deliver potato for to plants.
  • Identify/ grow/ sustain best variety for a “win-win” model for stake-holders & PepsiCo.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate/ PG in Agriculture/ MBA - Marketing / Supply Chain
  • Functional Experience: Approx. 3-5 years of experience
  • At least 3-5 years of hardcore agriculture Input sales / procurement / supply chain experience in a sales / manufacturing / processing set up.
  • Proven experience of dealing with farmers, traders, negotiation, selling, collaboration, agricultural departments & state agricultural policy.
  • Experience of dealing with local government authorities, suppliers, transporters, CPRI, CIP, & other Agricultural nodal bodies
