The Role – Assistant Manager – Audit

We are seeking a highly capable Assistant Manager to support the delivery of high-impact statutory audits while managing client engagements, supervising audit teams, and ensuring technical compliance with IFRS, ISA, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations. The role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to deliver quality outcomes within deadlines while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan audit strategies, risk assessments, and engagement timelines.
• Allocate and supervise staff, providing on-field guidance and coaching.
• Conduct detailed analytical reviews, verify testing sufficiency, and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Lead audits independently for medium to large entities.
• Review financial statements and complex accounting judgments in line with IFRS.
• Act as primary client contact for audit matters, closing meetings, and issue resolution.
• Identify gaps in existing audit methodologies and improve processes through research and analytical insights.
• Drive digital adoption and use of audit technology to improve efficiency and quality.

Technical Tools & Other Systems

• Tally – Bookkeeping, ledgers, GST/VAT compliance
• Microsoft Dynamics / Navision – Reports, reconciliations, audit support
• Zoho Books – Invoicing, accounting, audit documentation
• Microsoft Office 365, Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, basic macros)
• Power BI (optional) – basic dashboards and audit summaries
• Adobe Acrobat for editing, merging and digital documentation
• Digital workflow and e-signature tools

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• 5–6 years of post-qualification audit experience, preferably in a professional services firm.
• Strong technical knowledge in statutory audit, IFRS, ISA, VAT, and Corporate Tax.
• Proven experience managing teams and multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit preparation platforms. Open to candidates of all nationalities.
