Assistant Manager Business Development

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Business Development will work directly with and report to the Business Development Manager to drive Poulta's international growth across Asia, Oceania, EU & Americas. The role combines client-facing engagement, market development, and internal coordination, and is suited to someone who can hold their own in front of international prospects while keeping cross-functional execution on track internally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow relationships with international clients, Growth Partners, and prospects across multiple regions, including direct engagement on calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Represent Poulta at international exhibitions, trade shows, and industry conferences; manage booth logistics, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.
  • Travel internationally for client meetings, farm visits, pilot deployments, and partner engagements as required.
  • Build and maintain the CRM pipeline end-to-end: lead qualification, opportunity tracking, activity logging, and reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare business proposals, technical-commercial presentations, case studies, and partner-facing collateral for leadership review.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor mapping to identify and prioritize new growth opportunities.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, sheets, and KPI trackers covering pipeline health, partner performance, and pilot outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to move deals from proposal to deployment.
  • Own documentation: NDAs, MoUs, trial agreements, meeting notes, and follow-up commitments.
  • Support scheduling, logistics, and meeting preparation for senior stakeholders, including international travel coordination.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in business development, key account management, or international sales, ideally in B2B technology, SaaS, agritech, or industrial solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working with international clients across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Track record of representing a company at exhibitions or trade shows.
  • Hands-on CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar) including pipeline management and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (Notion, Asana, Airtable, or Monday.com).
  • Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable with international travel and flexible working hours to align across regions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • Experience in poultry, livestock, agritech, is a strong advantage.
