Key Responsibilities
1. Business Planning & Development
  • Support management in developing and updating container business plans for DP World terminals, aligning with business development and sales strategies.
  • Identify emerging opportunities through continuous industry research, feasibility assessments, and financial evaluations of new business ideas.
  • Contribute to trade promotion initiatives by liaising with local and international trade bodies and industry stakeholders.
2. Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Continuously enhance reporting structures and performance dashboards to ensure timely and accurate business intelligence across DP World systems.
  • Prepare monthly and periodic analytical reports highlighting business variations, trends, risks, and opportunities for management review.
  • Produce detailed forecasting and budgeting models to track performance and support commercial decision-making.
3. Market & Economic Research
  • Compile and analyze data on market size, cargo trends, and commodity movements across the UAE, GCC & Levant region.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking of regional ports and terminals, identifying performance gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, industrial, and geopolitical developments that may impact port performance.
4. Pricing & Tariff Analysis
  • Support contract pricing and tariff revisions through cost-benefit analysis, competitor benchmarking, and impact assessments on customers and operations.
  • Develop and review commercial pricing models to optimize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
5. Data Analysis & Visualization
  • Gather and consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources to create a single, accurate version of business data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., SAS, Power BI, etc) to communicate trends and performance effectively.
  • Transform large, complex datasets into clear insights that drive commercial and operational strategies.
6. Systems & Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve automation, data integration, and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide guidance to users on data access, visualization standards, and analytical best practices.
  • Support the design and delivery of information system enhancements across all project phases.
7. Stakeholder & Project Management
  • Support RFI/RFP responses and tender evaluations by analyzing documents, estimating profitability, and developing pricing models.
  • Define and manage project plans for business tenders, ensuring alignment and communication with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues proactively and recommending solutions.
8. Database & Market Intelligence Maintenance
  • Develop and maintain structured databases covering:
o Service deployments and line schedules
o Regional port performance, tariffs, and throughput data
o Liner volumes and performance trends
  • Provide quarterly updates to the Dubai Statistics Center and other relevant authorities.
  • Support the Marketing Research function by maintaining data repositories, presentations, and dashboards for leadership review.
