Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Card Product is responsible for managing and growing the bank’s credit card, debit card, and prepaid card portfolio. The role focuses on product performance, portfolio profitability, customer engagement, and operational efficiency, while coordinating with internal teams and payment networks to ensure smooth product delivery and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Card Portfolio Management
- Manage and monitor the overall card portfolio performance including activation rates, spend volume, and customer retention.
- Analyze portfolio profitability, transaction trends, and customer usage behavior.
- Develop strategies to increase card acquisition, activation, and card usage.
- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio growth and revenue generation.
Product Development & Enhancement
- Assist in the development and enhancement of card products, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards.
- Work closely with payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard to implement new features and product updates.
- Support product lifecycle management including product launch, upgrades, and discontinuation.
- Coordinate with IT and operations teams for system implementation and enhancements.
Business Strategy & Market Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities in the cards market.
- Support the development of pricing strategies, card benefits, and reward programs.
- Evaluate customer feedback and propose product improvements.
Campaign & Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design spend campaigns, cashback offers, and loyalty programs.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimize customer engagement strategies.
- Develop initiatives to improve card activation and transaction frequency.
Risk, Compliance & Fraud Management
- Ensure card products comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Work with risk and fraud teams to monitor transaction fraud trends and portfolio risk exposure.
- Ensure compliance with payment network rules and security standards.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio performance reports for management.
- Track key KPIs such as:
- Card activation rate
- Transaction volume
- Average spend per card
- Portfolio profitability
- Provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in card product management, payments, or banking portfolio management.
- Experience in bank managing credit card or debit card portfolios.

Pay: Up to QAR20,000.00 per month
