Assistant Manager Channel Sales (Retail)

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager – Channel Sales (Retail) to strengthen and expand ChargeX retail presence across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets. This role is focused on building a strong retail distribution network, improving in-store visibility, driving sales growth, and developing long-term relationships with retailers and channel partners.


Key Responsibilities:


Identify and onboard retail outlets such as hardware stores, electronics shops, supermarkets, and general stores across assigned territories.

Develop and execute direct-to-retailer strategies to ensure consistent product availability and strong shelf presence for ChargeX products.

Establish and manage partnerships with regional and national distributors to ensure wider and efficient market coverage.

Expand and manage territories with clearly defined coverage targets based on sales potential and footfall.

Conduct regular retail audits to ensure correct in-store placement, optimal product visibility, and adherence to ChargeX branding guidelines.

Analyze market demand and consumer buying behavior to identify gaps and optimize distribution strategies.

Develop and track sales targets and KPIs at city, territory, and retailer levels aligned with ChargeX revenue objectives.

Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and stock availability to prevent stock-outs and improve sales efficiency.

Design and implement retailer incentive programs including volume discounts, promotional schemes, loyalty rewards, and seasonal campaigns.

Execute territory-wise sales planning by identifying high-potential accounts and prioritizing visits for maximum revenue impact.

Coordinate closely with the marketing team to roll out retail campaigns, promotions, and seasonal offers.

Ensure consistent brand presence at point-of-sale (POS) through shelf displays, banners, standees, and promotional materials.

Organize product demonstrations, sampling events, and experiential marketing activities to increase customer engagement and brand recall.

Support new product and SKU launches by ensuring effective retail rollout and visibility.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and other channel partners.

Provide training and guidance to retailers and their staff on ChargeX product features, benefits, and upselling techniques.

Resolve supply, pricing, and display-related issues to ensure smooth operations and high retailer satisfaction.

Monitor competitor activities and market trends to support strategic decision-making and market share growth.

Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports covering performance, territory coverage, retailer onboarding, and campaign effectiveness.

Analyze channel profitability and sales trends to recommend territory expansion, new retailer targeting, and strategic partnerships.

Track ROI of promotions, incentives, and campaigns to maximize sales impact.


Requirements:


5–6 years of sales experience

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Passion for sales, customer service, and home décor products.

Must own a bike and be comfortable with regular market visits.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

This is a full-time permanent contract-bound office-based Job & the starting salary would be 100K-120K as per professional experiences + KPI allowances/bonuses.
