Position Summary & Scope
The Assistant Manager – Corporate Strategy plays a pivotal role in supporting the leadership team on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, business planning, and performance improvement programs. The role involves conducting research, analyzing data, developing insights, and preparing executive-level presentations to enable informed decision-making and long-term business growth.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
1.
Strategic Planning & Analysis

Support the development and execution of the company’s annual and long-term strategic plans.

Conduct detailed industry, competitor, and market analyses to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Analyze business performance, financial models, and KPIs to track progress against strategic objectives.

Partner with cross-functional teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans.

Business Research & Insights

Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for the leadership team and Board.

Benchmark company performance against peers and industry standards.

Develop business cases for new initiatives, partnerships, or diversification opportunities.
3.
Strategic Projects & Transformation

Assist in managing key organizational projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Coordinate with business units to implement strategic initiatives and track deliverables.

Support M&A evaluation activities — from target screening to due diligence coordination.
4.
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management

Develop high-quality presentations, reports, and briefing notes for CXO-level discussions.

Collaborate closely with finance, business heads, and HR on strategic performance reviews.

Provide analytical and project management support to the Head – Corporate Strategy and CEO’s office.
5.
Special Projects:

Taking on special projects assigned to gain experience and demonstrate their ability to handle increased responsibility.
Educational Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree from an Ivy League institution
OR
-
MBA (Strategy / Finance / General Management) or equivalent from a reputed institute.
Relevant Experience
-
Postgraduates with 0 – 1 years’ experience / Graduate with 1- or 3 years’ experience of working in a strategy department of a large Corporate / Consulting organization / Chairman’s office.

Exposure to strategy execution, business transformation, or corporate finance is preferred.
