Job Description:

The Assistant Manager - Cutting will support the Sr. Manager in overseeing the cutting operations within the production department. This role involves managing a team of cutters, ensuring quality standards, maintaining efficient production processes, and coordinating with other departments to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise the cutting team to achieve production and quality objectives.
• Plan and monitor cutting schedules, ensuring adherence to production timelines and efficient utilization of machinery.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures; inspect cut panels and address non-conformities promptly.
• Identify and execute process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize fabric waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits within the cutting area.
• Manage and track inventory of cutting tools, patterns, and raw materials; coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and quality departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
• Prepare and present performance reports and improvement plans to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in cutting operations within the textile or apparel industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of cutting room processes, fabric utilization, and machinery operation.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and production planning software.
