Assistant Manager – Engineering

Functional Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day activities related to infrastructure development and engineering projects across the campus.

  • Support the planning, execution, and tracking of ongoing infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, vendors) on infrastructure-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and institute policies during project execution.
  • Assist the Vice Provost Operations in preparing infrastructure related reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepare RFPs, tender documents, scope of work, and other documentation for infrastructure expansion and upgrades.
  • Liaise with external agencies, consultants, and designers for preparation of concepts, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Track project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost control in line with approved allocations.

Support procurement processes related to engineering projects, including vendor evaluation and coordination.

  • Maintain proper documentation of project records, contracts, approvals, and technical submissions.
