Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Finance will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and work closely with internal stakeholders. He/She is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting, reporting, and compliance matters for assigned entities, as well as other finance-related duties as required.


Responsibilities


  • Manage accounting and finance matters for designated entities, including end-to-end ownership of routine accounting activities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L, Cashflow and Divisional PL reports, including high-level variance analysis.
  • Perform accounting and financial reporting, including passing accrual and adjustment journal entries.
  • Manage pooled fund accounting, including allocations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, including preparation of audit schedules and resolution of audit queries.
  • Manage taxation, company secretarial, and other regulatory compliance matters with external service providers.
  • Oversee banking administration, including maintenance of access rights and preparation of banking transactions.
  • Monitor cash balances and manage fixed deposit placements and investment tracking in accordance with policies.

  • Perform other finance-related and ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines. CA qualification will be advantageous.
  • 4–6 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience handling full or partial sets of accounts independently.
  • Familiarity with audit, tax, and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and sound professional judgement.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Tally, Expensify and Salesforce (added advantage)
  • Interest in working in social sector

Preferred location : India (Pune and Mumbai)
