Job Title: Assistant Manager – Accounts/Finance
Location: Karachi

Reports To: Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable will support the Accounts Receivable Manager in overseeing and managing the organization’s receivables. The role involves monitoring customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and leading a team of AR professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and a thorough understanding of accounting and credit management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely follow-up with customers on overdue accounts.
- Prepare aging reports and highlight risks or discrepancies for management attention.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables.
- Supervise and guide AR team members, providing training, support, and performance feedback.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate cash flow.
- Prepare periodic reports and summaries for management on AR performance, trends, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ACCA or CA Finalist (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in accounts receivable or finance, with at least 3–4 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, billing systems, and credit management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
