Assistant Manager – Finance

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll.
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Prepare and manage tax returns and tax-related matters.
  • Recommend strategies to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
  • Assist in ERP/accounting system implementation, process improvements, and financial automation initiatives.

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation laws, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, withholding taxes, and other statutory obligations.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, taxation, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
