Role Summary

The Assistant Manager – Finance (Cost Accounting) will support the Finance Manager in overseeing daily financial operations across GMG’s Distribution and Factory verticals. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The incumbent will also lead process improvements, support audits, and act as a key liaison for ERP and dashboard systems.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Prepare and submit monthly MIS and business performance reports (Sales, Gross Margin, Marketing Spend, Opex, etc.)
  • Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs Budget)

Budgeting

  • Assist in preparing budget templates and coordinating with business teams
  • Evaluate CAPEX proposals and conduct financial feasibility studies

Operational Support

  • Develop business plans for new brands
  • Improve financial policies and systems for efficiency
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Act as focal point for ERP and financial dashboards
  • Support internal and external audits

People Management

  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for team members
  • Mentor and guide team to enhance performance and skill development
  • Foster a results-oriented and collaborative environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: CA or CMA
  • Experience: 2–4 years in GCC, preferably in FMCG distribution
  • Language Skills: Good communication skills
  • Certifications: ERP (SAP S4 HANA) and Power BI proficiency preferred

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA)
