Assistant Manager - Governance - (CDU911)

The Assistant Manager, Governance will:

  • Support the oversight of committee structures that govern the Qiddiya Development Team.
  • Assist in managing the Development Secretariat Team and ensure adherence to best practices in committee reporting and minute-taking.
  • Maintain a working understanding of all Qiddiya governance structures, frameworks, and delegations of authority.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to the Qiddiya Development Team on governance requirements and approval flows.
  • Collaborate with governance and compliance-related functions to align Development activities with Qiddiya policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance implementation, focusing on efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in policy development and strategic governance initiatives to enhance compliance and alignment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Support Management of the Development Secretariat Team:
  • Assist in training Secretariat Team members on governance structures, frameworks, and delegations of authority.
  • Mentor junior team members in committee management, reporting, and minute-taking best practices.
  • Encourage team members to recognize potential governance risks and understand implications of project changes.
  • Liaise with Committee Chairs to gather feedback for improving committee support functions.
  • Promote collaboration between the CDU Secretariat and other secretariat functions across Qiddiya.
Support Implementation of Development Committee Governance Framework:
  • Assist in rolling out the Qiddiya Development Committee Governance Framework.
  • Monitor adherence across Development Teams and report any non-compliance to the Senior Manager.
  • Contribute to regular reviews and updates of Committee documents as per evolving policies and business needs.
Training & Awareness:
  • Help develop onboarding and training materials related to the Development Committee Governance Framework.
  • Collaborate with the CDU Centre of Excellence (CoE) to publish materials on a central, user-friendly platform.
  • Keep current on governance trends and share relevant insights to enhance the team's effectiveness.
Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor adherence to governance policies and delegations of authority.
  • Assist in conducting internal reviews to identify gaps and propose risk mitigation actions.
  • Help prepare governance reports and metrics for CDU management.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a support contact for governance matters within Development and Delivery teams.
  • Maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of strong governance.
  • Contribute to the creation of feedback mechanisms to improve governance-related tools and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Governance, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in governance, compliance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of governance principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a large organization, preferably in the real estate or entertainment sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess governance processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Fluency in English.
