Summary
The Assistant Manager - HR Data and Systems position leads the working group responsible for managing and optimizing HR data, HRIS functionality, and reporting across the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and security of employee data while driving process automation, system enhancements, and analytics that enable strategic HR and business decisions. This role will partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT to streamline data processes and maintain compliance across multiple HR platforms.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management of the HRIS and related systems, ensuring accurate configurations across modules (Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Performance, Compensation, and Talent modules)
- Manage system upgrades, testing, and implementations in coordination with IT, Payroll, and vendor partners
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot issues, resolve system errors, and ensure proper data flow between HR and internal systems
- Oversee data audits, validation processes, and reconciliation between HRIS, Payroll, and third-party systems
- Manage ad-hoc data requests and provide analytics that support strategic workforce and financial decisions
- Lead development of standardized dashboards and recurring HR reports (headcount, turnover, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and improve user experience
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for HR system-related inquiries
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation within HR processes and reporting workflows
- Lead, coach, and develop team members responsible for HR system administration, data management, and reporting
- - Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, workflows, and integration logic
- Manage ad-hoc data requests and provide analytics that support strategic workforce and financial decisions
- Lead or support cross-functional projects related to HR technology, integrations, and data architecture
- Ensure end users have the knowledge and tools to access and interpret HR data effectively
- Develop and enforce data governance standards to ensure HR data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements
Compensation Range
$86,000 - $96,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables) required
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI) required
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities required
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail required
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a small team required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Experience managing HR technology implementations or migrations preferred
- Familiarity with SQL or other data query tools preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 6 - 9 Years of Direct Experience in HRIS Administration, Data Analytics, and/or HR Systems Management Required
- 7 - 11 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
- 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
- 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
