Assistant Manager – HR Operations

Location: Mumbai (On-site)
Experience: Minimum 10 years in HR Operations (with 3–5 years Talent Acquisition exposure)
CTC: ₹10–12 LPA
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

We are hiring an experienced and structured HR Operations professional to manage end-to-end HR processes for a 60+ employee organization. The role includes Payroll, Compliance, HRMS (Keka), Employee Lifecycle, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and oversight of Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate is disciplined, detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of independently managing HR with strong ownership.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

Manage complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, induction, confirmations, transfers, separations
Ensure accurate HR documentation, employee files, and statutory records
Manage attendance, leave, time-tracking and discipline adherence (9 AM–6 PM shift)
Maintain and update employee data in HRMS
Coordinate with Finance, IT, Admin for lifecycle processes

Payroll & Compliance

Process monthly payroll with 100% accuracy and timely closure
Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, and Shops & Establishment Act
Maintain statutory registers, compliance files, and audit-ready documentation
Coordinate with Finance for payroll inputs, reconciliations, and audits
Conduct regular HR audits for compliance and process checks

HRMS Management (Keka Preferred)

Manage HRMS workflows: attendance, leave, approvals, regularizations
Ensure accuracy of HRMS data across all modules
Train employees and managers on HRMS usage and processes
Identify gaps and drive HR automation to reduce manual tasks

Talent Acquisition Oversight

Support sourcing, screening, coordination, and closure of key roles
Manage recruitment agencies and control hiring costs
Maintain hiring trackers, interview scorecards, and candidate MIS
Strengthen employer branding on Naukri, LinkedIn, and other platforms
Share weekly hiring updates with management

Employee Engagement, Culture & Retention

Plan and execute monthly employee engagement activities
Conduct pulse surveys and feedback sessions
Handle employee grievances with confidentiality and fairness
Support retention initiatives and culture-building programs

Performance Management

Manage annual appraisal cycles, mid-year reviews, and goal-setting
Assist managers with KPI setting and performance documentation
Track performance issues and support PIP implementation
Maintain appraisal records and ensure timelines are followed

HR Policies & Process Improvement

Draft, update, and enforce HR policies and SOPs
Improve HR workflows through process re-engineering and automation
Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies
Prepare HR dashboards and submit monthly HR reports

Exit Management

Manage resignation workflow and notice period tracking
Conduct exit interviews and maintain exit documentation
Coordinate FnF settlements, clearance forms, IT/Asset handovers
Prepare insights from exit trends to support retention

Candidate Profile

Must-Have Skills

Minimum 10 years experience in HR Operations (mandatory)
Strong command of payroll, compliance, and labor laws
Hands-on experience with HRMS (Keka preferred)
3–5 years exposure to Talent Acquisition
Excellent communication, people-handling & discipline enforcement
High ownership, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Ability to manage HR independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

MBA/PGDM in Human Resources
Experience managing HR Ops for 60–200 employees
Background in manufacturing/export/e-commerce/fast-growing companies
