Assistant Manager Imports

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Imports for courier company to oversee and manage import operations, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and coordinate with international partners for smooth shipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end import operations including shipment tracking, documentation, and clearance

Coordinate with international agents, airlines, and freight partners

Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import laws, and documentation requirements

Handle import documentation such as BL/AWB, invoices, packing lists, and duty/tax calculations

Liaise with clearing agents and customs authorities for timely clearance

Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or operational issues

Prepare and maintain import reports, records, and KPIs

Optimize import processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field

3–5 years of relevant experience in import operations (preferably courier/logistics industry)

Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and documentation

Familiarity with international shipping and freight operations

Good communication and coordination skills

Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems
