Assistant Manager – Imports
Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and experienced Assistant Manager – Imports to oversee our end-to-end import operations, ensure strict customs compliance, and coordinate with international partners for seamless shipment delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Manage end-to-end import workflows, tracking, and timely clearance.
- Coordination: Liaison with international agents, airlines, freight partners, and customs authorities.
- Compliance: Ensure full adherence to customs regulations, import laws, and tax/duty calculations.
- Documentation: Oversee critical paperwork including BL/AWB, invoices, and packing lists.
- Optimization: Monitor shipment KPIs, resolve delays, and streamline processes to reduce costs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in import operations (logistics industry preferred).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of customs clearance, international freight, and logistics software.
- Traits: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and MS Office skills.
