Introduction:

The Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) was established in July 1993 with the overall objective of becoming a leader in educational reform and improvement, especially in developing countries. The aim of AKU-IED is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of schools and other educational institutions in the country through innovation, policy development, practice, training and research.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Job Role / Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • collect and organise quantitative and qualitative data sets from research contexts, including Chitral and Karachi
  • maintain well-structured data sets for analysis
  • conduct workshops with the research team to analyse data
  • code data, develop categories, generate themes, and draw conclusions
  • write research reports, including interim and final project reports
  • support publication efforts with the Principal Investigator, targeting submissions to international journals
  • assist in developing grant proposals for scaling up the C2C model and ensure timely submission.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

You should have:

  • PhD in Education
  • demonstrated three years of experience in mixed-methods research, including advanced data analysis
  • proven record of publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals
  • strong academic writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis software (e.g., NVIVO and SPSS)
  • ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with research teams.
