Position Overview
The Assistant Manager – Internal Audit supports the planning and execution of internal audit engagements to ensure the organization’s operations, controls, and processes comply with applicable laws, policies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
- Lead and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across departments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Monitor implementation of agreed audit recommendations and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Support investigations of irregularities or suspected fraud.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and internal auditing standards.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior audit staff.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CA/CIA part-qualified or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of internal audit, external audit, or risk management experience, preferably in [industry e.g., FMCG/Manufacturing].
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards (IIA) and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and audit management tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
