Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) seeks a motivated and detail oriented professional to join the Internal Audit Department as
Assistant Manager Internal Audit. Based in Gilgit / Chitral, the incumbent will assess and strengthen internal control systems, evaluate risk management practices, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
The role will identify control gaps, recommend practical improvements, and support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and organizational performance.
Reporting to the Manager Internal Audit, the incumbent will plan, conduct, and document internal audit assignments across the region, ensuring timely completion and quality reporting of audit activities.
Key Responsibilities:-
Audit Planning & Execution: Assist in designing audit scopes, developing tailored procedures, and conducting audits to evaluate internal controls and policy compliance.

Analysis & Documentation: Perform data collection through interviews and document reviews, analyze findings, and prepare comprehensive, accurate working papers that support audit conclusions.

Reporting & Communication: Draft formal audit reports detailing observations, management comments, and action plans. Effectively communicate findings to all levels of the organization.

Follow-up & Monitoring: Track the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions, preparing quarterly progress reports for management.

Investigations: Assist in conducting investigations in accordance with professional standards.

Climate Action: Support AKHS's commitment to becoming net zero by identifying carbon-intensive areas within operations, facilitating data collection for carbon management, and supporting the implementation of climate action plans.

Compliance: Adhere to the AKHS Code of Conduct, safeguarding principles, and quality assurance protocols including SafeCare and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
