Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to manage, monitor and report on company’s inventory levels.
Effective and efficient in handling the company’s inventory that is critical for the attainment of business goals.
Responsibility for overseeing Inventory Staff and Storekeepers who are reviewing levels of supplies, ordering new materials, and performing daily, weekly and monthly analysis for site requirements.
This position will always try to understand the constant inventory movements, which will work with Procurement Department in managing bulk orders.
Review the current market best practice of inventory tracking system and devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures and incorporate it the current company’s ERP system.
This position should follow industry news so that he can spot trends in supply and demand that might influence inventory scheduling.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Set-up and implement layout and space management, stores procedures and instructions relevant in delivering effective warehouse and stores management.

Ensure minimum and maximum stock thresholds are always maintained by the stores personnel and provide assistance in agreeing these thresholds with the technical team to ensure avoidance of stock shortages and dead stock.

Analyze procurement requirements and select the most appropriate methods based on interpretation and assessment of established policies, practices, and experience.

Carry out the effective control in storage, transactions and issuing material to ensure the adequate supply of spares items.

Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.

Collaborate with Inventory Staffs and Storekeepers to ensure that business goals are met. Ensuring that all business operations have adequate materials to achieve their objectives.

Proactively, initiates improvement and development of stores.

Participate in monthly stock takes against physical and system and to ensure variances are explained, managed and reported

Work closely with the Site Storekeepers on site to ensure purchase requests are raised and received in a timeously manner.

Daily follow ups with suppliers and stores team to ensure items are delivered on time and any discrepancies are resolved.

Ensure the stores personnel are maintaining accurate records of maintenance spares, consumables and tools inventory and inventory records by effectively using the company’s computerized management system.

Monitors and follow-up MMS program against actual activities.

Ensure Inventory Reports; in/out status report; dead stock report, goods age report, consumption report and other reporting requirement are issued to the Procurement Director and the relevant departments by the store’s personnel.

Support the stores personnel in the administration and maintenance of all paperwork and delivery notes and ensure they are filed for audit inspection.

Supervise and oversee all aspects of stores inventory administration done by the Stores Expeditors.

Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.

Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management.

Work closely with the Finance and Procurement Teams on supplier agreements to fix prices and agree a Preferred Supplier list for the contract.

Demonstrate leadership and team building skills through staff communication and hold regular meetings to gain staff commitment and build efficiency of the department.

Manages the recruitment together with the Supply Chain Directors approval and provides the necessary training of new inventory employees.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders and the technical teams on site.

All other tasks to be delegated by the Supply Chain Director.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in procurement, warehousing, or logistics.

Supply Chain professional certifications is preferable.

Experience
:
-
A minimum of 5 years, preferably 7 years of work experience in high volume inventory activities.

A minimum of 3 years MEP inventory management experience.

At least 3 years supervisory and management experience.
-
2-3 years of experience with FM industry is preferable.
-
Exposure and background experience in Health and Safety regulations, and labor camp accommodation is a plus.
