Join EFU Life Assurance Ltd. as an Assistant Manager in Fund Management, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing investment portfolios. Utilizing your expertise in portfolio management, risk management, investment research, and risk assessment, you will analyze fund performance, ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, and support strategic investment decisions. While you will not be managing a team directly, your role involves close collaboration with senior investment leadership and various stakeholders to maintain robust portfolio oversight and compliance.
Responsibilities

Extract, clean, analyze, and present a variety of portfolio and system reports on both periodic and ad-hoc bases to inform decision-making processes.

Monitor asset allocation, diversification strategies, and risk exposure to ensure optimal portfolio balance in alignment with fund objectives.

Maintain thorough knowledge of each funds Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) regulations to identify and prevent any portfolio breaches.

Track and evaluate portfolio performance regularly against peer funds and market benchmarks to assess relative success and opportunities for improvement.

Research and monitor investment decisions and leading positions held by peer funds in the market to stay informed of prevailing market trends.

Perform detailed return attribution analyses to decompose returns, such as separating fixed income and equity contributions within balanced funds and examining stock and sector impacts within equity portions.

Collaborate closely with the Head of Investment to support and contribute to informed investment decision-making processes and strategy formulation.

Execute trades efficiently, ensure accurate recording of transactions, and perform in-depth analysis of portfolio activities to maintain transparency and operational accuracy.

Prepare comprehensive monthly reports on investment matters to communicate fund performance and key developments to internal teams and stakeholders.

Coordinate effectively with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other relevant parties to satisfy regulatory requirements in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.

Anticipate and manage portfolio inflows and outflows, including maturities and coupon payments, to ensure timely deployment of funds and alignment with client liquidity needs.

Negotiate and secure the best available rates and terms from banks, development finance institutions, mutual funds, and secondary markets to maximize investment returns.

Continuously monitor internal and external financial estimates and results of companies under coverage to inform investment evaluations and adjustments.

Adapt to and undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to support the dynamic needs of the fund management function and company objectives.
