Job Purpose:

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and dashboards that ensure accurate, consistent and actionable data across DHLE. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, support data reconciliation and quality activities, and translate business needs into reliable analytical outputs. The core responsibilities include data ingestion, data cleansing, data transformation and ETL framework development, as well as supporting the operationalisation of data governance and Master Data Management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipelines, ETL Framework, Data Quality and Maintenance
• Create and maintain data ingestion pipelines following appropriate data management and warehousing practices.
• Pioneer the methodology for cleaning data and resolve data issues wherever required for accurate business decisions.
• Support reconciliation activities by preparing clean, structured and validated datasets required for MDM operations.
• Reporting & Dashboard Development
• Design and develop interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Foundry.
• Create automated reports and visualizations to support business decision-making and master data management progress tracking.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of data presented across reporting platforms.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with business units, data owners and stewards to gather reporting requirements.
• Present findings and dashboards to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
• Provide training and support to users on dashboard usage and interpretation.
• Data & Governance
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal data governance policies and MDM procedures.
• Support the implementation of approved data quality rules, thresholds and reconciliation/ survivorship logic.
• Collaborate with data science teams for ad hoc analysis or creation of business insights or reports wherever required.

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data pipelines framework, data integration across multiple systems; experience in business intelligence, or reporting roles.
• Experience contributing to DQ improvements, data cleansing or MDM
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with data transformation or ETL frameworks.
• Experience in Python for data preparation, automation scripts or workflow development.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g., Foundry & Power BI,).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in data engineering working with multiple data sources is an advantage
• Ability to support data quality checks, validation rules and reconciliation logic as part of Master Data Management activities.
