Assistant Manager | Mechanical Maintenace

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. AM – Mechanical will play a crucial role in supporting production activities, troubleshooting, ensuring safety, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables:

• To ensure smooth functioning of the plant so that the Production Departments may achieve their Production targets efficiently.
• To achieves Mechanical maintenance operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• To look after the daily Mechanical maintenance breakdown of the plant machinery and equipment and supervising the remedial actions to be taken.
• To investigate each breakdown and make sure that the same fault may not repeat.
• To carry out preventive maintenance schedule of Plant machinery and equipment as per requirement.
• To ensure that staff is trained in complex maintenance activities and are following the standard operating procedures.
• To analyze data and present findings in written reports.
• Working collaboratively with purchasers regarding technical issues and other internal staff.
• Project management within cost and time constrained environments.
• Providing advice and consultancy support to the management
• Accepting responsibility and a level of accountability that is proportionate to the seniority of the position.
• To ensure safe working conditions in the department.
• To minimize safety hazards at workplace.
• To ensure compliance to the Health, safety & environment guidelines.

Job Specification:

• B. Sc. Engineering - Mechanical from an HEC recognized University/Institute.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience preferably related to gases industry.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Proficient in reading drawings.
• In-depth understanding of safety standards and protocols.
• Ability to promote a safety-first culture within the team.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
