Key Responsibilities
- Manage trims development and coordination with merchandising and product development teams.
- Ensure timely approval and placement of trims required for garment orders.
- Maintain supplier communication regarding trims specifications, lead times, and quality standards.
- Monitor garment order requirements related to trims and accessories.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support smooth production and avoid delays.
- Follow up on material requirements for workwear, home textile, and garment orders.
- Manage trim placements and material planning according to production schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for purchase orders and material availability.
- Monitor stock levels of trims and accessories in coordination with the store department.
- Prepare and maintain regular stock and inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Maintain close coordination with stores, merchandising, and production departments for smooth order execution.
- Follow up with stores regarding material issuance and stock movement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of trims requirements, stock reports, and order follow-ups.
- Provide regular updates to the Deputy Manager – MMC regarding material status and order progress
Qualification Requirements
- MBA in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field.
Experience
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in material management or supply chain within the textile industry.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of garment trims and accessories management
- Knowledge of material planning and inventory control
- Excellent coordination and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
