Assistant Manager Networks

As an Assistant Manager – Networks, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The role involves leading network operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting strategic network initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users.
• The role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, WAN accelerators.
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• IPSEC VPN tunneling SSL VPN
• Expertise in FortiGate Installation/Configuration
• Expertise in wireless technologies like Ruckus & Unifi.
• Expertise in Cisco Routing & switching.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3–4 years of experience in network administration/engineering
• Good understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
