Assistant Manager - Procurement

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Procurement to lead the sourcing and procurement of raw materials (including fruits, concentrates, and additives) and packaging materials (such as bottles, cartons, and labels) for our manufacturing facility in Nashik. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality materials at optimal cost while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the organization’s operational and quality objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategically source and procure raw materials and packaging components in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.

2. Identify, evaluate, and onboard dependable suppliers and vendors to ensure consistent supply and operational reliability.

3. Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, to optimize cost efficiency and supplier performance.

4. Monitor inventory levels proactively and ensure timely replenishment to maintain uninterrupted production flow.

5. Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to streamline procurement and supply chain operations.

6. Maintain comprehensive procurement records and ensure strict compliance with food safety, regulatory, and corporate standards.

7. Conduct market analysis and track seasonal availability trends of fruits and other key raw materials to inform strategic sourcing decisions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on procurement experience within the food processing or FMCG industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong command of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication abilities, with the capacity to drive results in dynamic environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹600,000.00 per year
