
Assistant Manager –Procurement operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end procurement operations from requisition to delivery
- Execute sourcing strategies for cost-effective and timely purchasing
- Handle vendor evaluation, onboarding & performance tracking
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure policy compliance
- Coordinate with production & warehouse for material planning
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries & supplier commitments
- Maintain optimal inventory levels (avoid shortages/excess)
- Ensure accurate ERP data and reporting
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
- Build strong supplier & logistics relationships
- Resolve procurement and supply-related issues efficiently
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Business / Engineering
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems & advanced Excel
- Good negotiation, analytical & coordination skills
PREFERRED
- Experience in switchgear or manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
