Assistant Manager Procurement (Raw Materials & Chemicals)

Karachi, Pakistan

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Purchasing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for raw materials to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; monitor performance and conduct regular supplier evaluations.
  • Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal raw material stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Cost Control: Analyze market trends, forecast price fluctuations, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate records of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular procurement reports, including spend analysis and budget adherence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in [industry—e.g., FMCG, manufacturing, chemical].
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs200,000.00 per month
