Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager Production is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day production operations of the apparel unit to achieve production targets with maximum efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role ensures coordination with Planning, IE, Quality, Maintenance, and HR to maintain smooth operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management
- Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling all production activities of the apparel unit.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, timely output, and minimal downtime.
- Ensure proper line balancing and efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and material.
- Review production performance reports and take corrective actions for any variances.
2. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all production processes meet quality standards as defined by the QA department.
- Work closely with QA and IE teams to ensure defect-free and right-first-time production.
- Ensure implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, WRAP, and CTPAT standards in the production area.
- Promote workplace safety and compliance with OSH and environmental policies.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Planning (PPC) department for style loading, capacity planning, and on-time order completion.
- Liaise with IE/ME teams to optimize productivity and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure zero machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Maintain effective communication with HR and Admin for labor management, attendance, and welfare issues.
4. Workforce Supervision
- Supervise line in-charges, supervisors, and production staff to ensure adherence to targets and discipline.
- Conduct training and coaching sessions for line supervisors and operators to enhance skill levels.
- Motivate teams to maintain high morale, discipline, and teamwork on the production floor.
5. Cost & Resource Optimization
- Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage through process improvements.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, SMV optimization, etc.).
- Participate in cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present daily production, efficiency, and manpower utilization reports.
- Maintain production data, WIP (Work in Progress), and ensure proper documentation.
- Report deviations in targets and propose improvement action plans.

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs130,000.00 per month
