To strengthen our procurement function, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive **Assistant Manager – Purchase** with expertise in construction materials, ERP systems, and vendor management.
Role: Assistant Manager – Purchase
As the Assistant Manager – Purchase, you will oversee procurement operations, vendor coordination, ERP-based purchase management, and ensure timely availability of materials for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing: Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, goods, and services in line with project requirements and budgets.
- ERP Management: Handle procurement processes through ERP systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Construction Materials: Maintain strong knowledge of building materials, suppliers, and pricing trends to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and resolve any quality, delivery, or billing issues.
- Purchase Orders (PO): Prepare, issue, and track POs to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with company policies.
- Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with vendors, project sites, and internal teams to ensure material availability and avoid delays.
- Contracts & Negotiations: Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure favorable deals.
- Reporting: Compile procurement data and provide reports on material requirements, inventory levels, and vendor performance.
- Coordination with Sites: Liaise with project sites to understand material needs and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Other Duties: Carry out additional tasks assigned by management as required.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 4–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction/infrastructure sector
- Strong knowledge of building materials, ERP systems, and procurement processes
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
