Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate technical specifications and requirements of materials or components as per project or production needs.
  • Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
  • Request and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
  • Review technical drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) to ensure correct materials are sourced.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams for material approval and requirement forecasting.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
  • Handle non-conformance issues and coordinate with vendors for replacements or corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, reports, and supplier databases.
  • Stay updated with market trends, new materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of casting, fabrication, and forging processes.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and selection for manufacturing applications.
  • Experienced in interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to metal components.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASTM, DIN, IS, and other international material standards for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Skilled in interpreting mechanical, chemical, and physical property requirements as per global standards.


Qulification:

  • B. E. Mechanical/Diploma in Mechanical
  • Ability to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
