Assistant Manager - Purchase

An Assistant Manager - Purchase manages the end-to-end procurement process, negotiating contracts, sourcing vendors, and controlling costs to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials. Typically requiring 8–12 years of experience, these professionals manage budgets, analyze supplier performance, and maintain inventory levels.

Responsibilities and Roles

  • Procurement & Sourcing: Responsible for sourcing raw materials, machinery, or services, including handling import orders and managing vendor relationships.
  • Negotiation & Cost Control: Negotiating terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effectiveness, budgetary compliance, and quality standards.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamlining purchasing procedures, managing purchase orders, and optimizing inventory levels to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Maintaining procurement MIS, preparing reports for management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–12 years in procurement, often within specific industries like production & manufacturing
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, negotiation abilities, and communication skills.
  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
