We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Assistant Manager – Facultative Reinsurance
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end facultative placement process, ensuring seamless coordination across underwriting, operations, finance, and claims teams. Your efforts will support timely facultative cover binding, claims recoveries, and adherence to internal and regulatory standards. You will also play a key role in fostering strong relationships with reinsurers and brokers, driving an agile and efficient reinsurance function.
Job Responsibilities:

Arrange Facultative quote/support for General Lines of Business based on UW/OPS requirements

Follow up with markets on timely manner to assist UW team to release terms to the client/broker

Preparation of RI Working & RI File Note to keep track on the placement/support and necessary closing in system

Closely follow up with RI to bind cover on timely manner

Receipt of RI Cover Note / Signed slips before processing necessary closings

Process RI Closings/Credit Note and send to Reinsurers within 15 days from end of each month

Coordinate with Finance Team and arrange Counter Invoices / VAT Invoices from Fac Reinsurers/Brokers

Prepare Special Acceptance Requests and take up with Treaty RI wherever there is deviation in the treaty conditions as advised by UW/Ops Team

Month closing in system including coordination with UW/Ops to ensure approval of policy/endt in the system before the deadline

Update Facultative register which includes details of Ultimate RI, FAC Share of SI, premium and other details

Arrange KYC for new Reinsurers/RI Brokers on boarding in coordination with Legal/Compliance Team

Month closing in system including coordination with UW/Ops to ensure approval of policy/endt in the system before the deadline

Involvement in the Core system development and provide inputs/testing based on RI parameters and requirements.

Coordinate with all internal and external colleagues on RI related matters

Provide training and mentorship to junior reinsurance or underwriting staff where needed
Job Requirements:

A
university degree
or equivalent academic qualification.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
in reinsurance or insurance operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
and strong data analysis capabilities.
