Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of an Assistant Manager R&D
As Assistant Manager Research & Development, you will assist the head of R&D in implementing R&D goals and activities and ensuring the delivery of the Company’s goals. You will effectively participate in product development, understand the requirements of customers to fill the gap and improve existing products in Shan’s Brand Portfolio.
Things you will be doing as an Assistant Manager R&D

Manage projects related to product development, plant installation, process improvement, toll manufacturing, supplier development & process designing etc.

Understand the requirement of customer(s) & prepare action plan in light of customers’ need
-
Demonstrate the product profile & application methodology to the stakeholder

Conduct internal & external application trial & provide guidelines to direct consumers through application(s)

Ensure adherence to allergen control measures at all times
-
Follow documentation of all phases of research and development, such as design input, verification & validation etc.

Conduct gap analysis & present the findings to the management
-
Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes to relevant stakeholders
-
Provide support in new application trials & determine improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and stakeholders
-
Conduct, monitor and evaluate product trials and sensory evaluations
-
Develop and finalize product and process specifications

Develop, review and update SOPs
-
Fulfill the requirements of local and international standards such as BRC, QMS, FSSC, Halal, HSE certification & PSQCA
-
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for matters pertaining to food product development & other related issues
-
Ensure Halal conformity is maintained at all levels
What we are looking for in you?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical) / Food Sciences / Chemistry or a related field
-
Sound knowledge of FSMS, ISO 9000 BRC & Halal Certification
-
Minimum 4-5 years of multifaceted post-qualification experience in Food company

Good reading & writing skills in English & Urdu
