Assistant Manager - Restaurant

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and driving profitability. The role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth front- and back-of-house coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Supervise and support front-of-house and service staff
  • Ensure exceptional guest experience and resolve customer concerns promptly
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
  • Support staff scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Oversee inventory control and coordinate with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling operational costs
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic MS Office
