Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to success! In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
  • Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
  • Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
  • Oversee cash handling processes and reconcile daily sales using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation
  • Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and oversee shift management to optimize productivity
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability through efficient resource management
  • Support kitchen management by overseeing food production, quality control, and culinary standards
  • Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety protocols
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in hospitality or food service settings
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cash handling duties confidently
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices, food management, and cost budgeting
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
  • Experience with staff training & development, interviewing, and team management strategies
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations including food production, catering, bar services, and banquet experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
