Assistant Manager-Safety-Chennai

What we expect

• Train and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with company requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across sites / operations.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective & preventive actions.
• Organize and lead safety training sessions and workshops.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
• Collaborate with management to improve safety protocols and emergency preparedness.
• Support operations in complying to OSH requirements.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
• Stay updated on new safety standards, legislation and best practices.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma, in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in elevator or construction industry
• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OHS standards, legislation and procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
