Position Title: Assistant Manager Sales (Solar & BESS)

Job Objective
The Assistant Manager Sales (Solar & BESS) will be responsible for driving sales and business development for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to complement our Solar (C&I) portfolio.
The role requires a sales professional with a background in solar projects and a strong interest or understanding of BESS applications, market potential, and system integration. The incumbent will focus on identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting business growth in advanced energy storage and solar solutions.
This position is ideal for a solar sales professional transitioning into the BESS and energy storage sector, with a forward-looking mindset toward evolving energy markets.
Key Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Solar & BESS)
· Drive sales of Solar (C&I) solutions and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across industrial and commercial sectors.
· Identify and convert opportunities in solar + storage integrated solutions through consultants, EPCs, industrial and corporate clients.
· Manage end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to proposal submission and deal closure.
BESS Market Development & Technical Awareness
· Develop strong understanding of BESS applications including peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, and energy optimization.
· Identify suitable industries and use cases for BESS deployment.
· Stay updated on market trends, technology developments, and pricing dynamics in energy storage.
· Position BESS as a strategic value-added solution alongside solar offerings.
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
· Conduct client meetings and presentations for solar + BESS integrated solutions.
· Collaborate with technical teams to develop techno-commercial proposals and system configurations.
· Support clients in understanding ROI, energy savings, and operational benefits.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with industrial and commercial clients.
Proposal & Commercial Support
· Prepare and review proposals, BOQs, and cost estimations with technical teams.
· Support pricing, bidding, and negotiation processes.
· Ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, quotations, and deal progression.
Technical Coordination & Project Support (Solar & BESS)
· Coordinate with engineering, design, and operations teams for smooth execution of solar and BESS projects.
· Support site assessments, feasibility studies, and system design inputs.
· Ensure alignment between sales, engineering, and installation teams for timely project delivery.
· Develop working understanding of BESS installation, integration, and basic operational/maintenance aspects to support client advisory and solution selling.
Market Intelligence & Growth Support
· Monitor trends in energy storage, hybrid solar + BESS systems, and competitor activity.
· Identify emerging market opportunities and customer demand patterns.
· Share insights with management to support strategic decision-making.
