Assistant Manager Stores

Karachi, Pakistan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extend complete support to the Manager Stores in overseeing the efficient operation, inventory control, and staff supervision across all stores of the company.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records across all stores.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing inventory transactions to ensure accuracy.
  • Support periodic physical stock counts and reconciliation.
  • Help implement and monitor SOPs related to receiving, storage, and issuance.
  • Supervise storekeepers and helpers under the direction of the Manager.
  • Address daily operational issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Ensure storage conditions for food, fuel, and other sensitive items meet safety requirements.
  • Support inspections and ensure HSE guidelines are followed in all stores.
  • Prepare preliminary stock reports and consumption summaries.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance for supply planning and issue resolution.
  • Flag low-stock or slow-moving items to the Manager.
  • Assist in training new staff on store policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, cleanliness, and safety in store areas.
  • Provide backup support in the absence of storekeepers or the Manager.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-10 years experience in related domains.
  • Proven experience in inventory/store management, preferably across diverse categories.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and inventory control software.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, HSE, or ISO standards is a plus.
