Role Summary
Manager - Supply Chain– Projects will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain planning and execution for the projects/ key accounts business. This role ensures timely procurement, production planning, vendor coordination, dispatch, and installation alignment to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and as per quality standards. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination between Sales, Design, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Installation, and Accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
· Translate project BOQs and sales orders into detailed procurement and production plans.
· Create project-level supply timelines aligned with committed client delivery schedules.
· Track project milestones from order confirmation to final installation.
· Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve supply or vendor constraints.
· Maintain project trackers and MIS for ongoing and upcoming projects.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
· Source and procure materials (finished goods in furniture, kitchen and wardrobes and furnishings etc.) specific to project requirements.
· Negotiate pricing and lead times with vendors to maintain project margins.
· Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base for project-specific requirements.
· Monitor vendor performance (OTIF, quality, responsiveness).
· Ensure timely issuance of POs and follow-ups for deliveries.
3. Production & Capacity Planning
· Coordinate with in-house manufacturing for project production scheduling.
· Balance retail and project production loads to optimize capacity utilization.
· Monitor WIP status and escalate delays.
4. Logistics & Installation Coordination
· Plan dispatch schedules aligned with site readiness and installation slots.
· Coordinate with logistics teams for intercity/outstation deliveries.
· Ensure complete material readiness before dispatch to avoid site delays.
· Work closely with installation teams to ensure phased project execution.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
· Work closely with:
o Sales (order clarity, commercial alignment)
o Design (technical specifications & revisions)
o Production (manufacturing feasibility & timelines)
o Finance (advance payments, vendor payments)
o Installation (site execution planning)
· Ensure communication turnaround time does not exceed defined SLAs.
· Proactively flag risks to Department Head.
6. Process Development
· Develop SOPs for:
o Project procurement
o Vendor onboarding
o Production planning
o Dispatch & installation coordination
· Standardize documentation and workflow tracking.
· Introduce digital tools (ERP, Excel trackers, dashboards, automation tools).
· Build scalable processes for a growing projects business.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
