Required an Assistant Manager - Supply Chain to lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain, procurement, and logistics function, ensuring timely delivery of materials, optimal inventory management, and alignment with project plans and budgets.
Requirements
- Plan, implement, and oversee supply chain, procurement, stores, and logistics strategies, ensuring departmental and organizational targets are consistently achieved.
- Negotiate contracts, quotations, and terms with suppliers, optimizing cost, quality, and delivery while exploring alternative solutions for maximum advantage to the company.
- Lead product storage, handling, and distribution processes to maintain optimum inventory levels and minimize stock-outs or overstocking.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including international and local shipment.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and documentation requirements.
- Implement and leverage digital tools and ERP systems to track goods from origin to delivery, ensuring visibility and operational efficiency.
- Develop accurate inventory forecasts, monitor performance, and maintain detailed records to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, exploring new vendors, innovative materials, and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate their performance, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor environmental impact of supply chain activities, supporting sustainability initiatives and compliance.
- Formulate, update, and enforce Supply Chain policies, maintaining approved vendor/material lists for project tenders.
- Coordinate with site and workshop teams to maintain minimum stock levels of consumables and manage non-moving inventory.
- Provide value engineering solutions to project and tendering departments via alternative vendors and sub-contractors.
- Lead, guide, and develop supply chain and warehouse staff to ensure effective performance and accountability.
- Perform any other duties within the field of competence as assigned by the Head of Department or delegated authority from time to time.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, and logistics management.
- Strong understanding of the Middle East market, with hands-on experience in GCC countries managing multi-cultural teams.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials and standards is a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with ERP and supply chain management systems.
