Job Summary

Davis Pharmaceutical Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager Tax Affairs to manage end-to-end tax compliance, including sales tax, withholding tax, digital invoicing, and coordination with FBR. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in tax operations within a manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Tax Compliance

  • Manage monthly input/output sales tax reconciliation and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns (IRIS) with all required annexures.
  • Ensure correct classification of taxable supplies under applicable tax laws.
  • Handle sales tax records, adjustments, and refund coordination.

Digital Invoicing (FBR Integration)

  • Manage FBR digital invoicing system and ERP integration.
  • Ensure real-time transmission of invoices and proper reconciliation with sales tax returns.
  • Coordinate with IT and vendors for system accuracy and compliance.

Withholding Tax (WHT) Compliance

  • Manage withholding tax deductions on vendor payments and salaries.
  • Prepare and file quarterly WHT statements (Section 165).
  • Ensure ATL verification and correct tax rate application for vendors.

Advance Income Tax & Reporting

  • Handle advance income tax on sales and ensure timely deposits.
  • Maintain proper tax records and compliance documentation.

Tax Notices & Liaison

  • Prepare responses to FBR notices, audits, and assessments.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants for legal and technical matters.
  • Maintain tax compliance trackers and ensure timely responses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of relevant tax and compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and FBR regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with IRIS system and ERP-based accounting systems.
  • Experience in digital invoicing (FBR integration) will be preferred.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
