Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Intelligence Development
o Build and maintain trade intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytical frameworks.
o Regularly review trade flows across Jebel Ali, Jeddah, other GCC and Levant ports to identify cargo movement patterns, emerging commodities, origin-destination shifts, and key traders driving regional trade.
2. Market & Risk Analysis
o Identify volume and revenue risks and opportunities across O&D trade for Jebel Ali, Jeddah, and other regional ports in our portfolio.
o Recommend trade retention and development strategies in coordination with the management team.
o Support in customer segmentation and development of trade sales plans.
3. Commodity & Vertical Development
o Develop commodity and industry-specific business development plans to identify new growth opportunities.
o Facilitate customer acquisition and cargo growth initiatives across DP World’s GCC business units.
4. Economic & Industry Research
o Gather, analyze, and disseminate key economic, industrial, and geopolitical data relevant to trade and logistics.
o Track global, regional, and local market indicators impacting port performance and trade dynamics.
5. Benchmarking & Competitor Analysis
o Conduct regular benchmarking of DP World GCC ports (Dubai, Jeddah, Tartous) against key competitors.
o Identify competitive gaps and recommend actionable improvements.
6. Business Case Development
o Support the preparation of business cases and value propositions for existing and potential customers.
o Utilize supply chain analytics to propose strategies that enhance customer value and grow cargo volumes.
7. Presentation & Marketing Support
o Develop compelling business presentations, sales pitch decks, and marketing collateral for trade development initiatives.
8. Performance & Variance Analysis
o Prepare periodic business performance reports and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
9. Budgeting & Forecasting
o Assist in preparing and reviewing O&D trade volume budgets and forecasts for Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Tartous and other DPW GCC Ports.
10. Data Governance & Quality
o Review trade data accuracy, coordinate with IT for data integrity improvements, and ensure consistent data availability.
11. Reporting Enhancement
o Continuously improve reporting tools and structures to ensure reliable, timely, and actionable performance insights.
12. Market Opportunity Analysis
o Produce analytical reports on market size, cargo opportunities, and commodity trends across the UAE, GCC, and Levant regions.
13. Stakeholder Management
o Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues, managing expectations, and offering solutions to drive collaboration.
